tech, ethics and consciousness...for all life

Greetings ParTecKians!

This year, we'll be returning to enchanting Smith Lake Farm in Merville (Comox Valley) on Vancouver Island and have booked the entire retreat space Thursday July 23th through Sunday July 26th, 2026.

Our vision is to create a place of breaking bread together, collective co-imagining, and moving into sensing possible prototypes. Playful exploration, rituals to surface meaning, and rest are included in the intention. See the Q&A section below to get a feel for how this is coming together.

We love Smith Lake Farm! Situated between forest and lake, the farm, the animals, and the host family are a delight to experience. https://www.smithlakefarm.com/

This will once again be a family friendly retreat, with whole group programs, and activities for kids depending on their interests. Last year, kids enjoyed kayaking in the lake, walking through the forest on the property, touring the bee hives, petting animals at a visiting petting zoo, and playing in a nearby field.

This year, we are also exploring the femina, bringing women together for a part of it, as well as continuing with our land presencing practices.

Please fill out the following form to let us know your level of interest and intention to attend the retreat: https://forms.gle/Hm1YgdAx48LDmexk8

We look forward to hearing from you and engaging in this next level of ParTecK play together.

Q&A

What is the purpose and theme of the retreat?
We dive together, into the ocean of what connects us, our distinct voices, what feels emergent, what needs to be let go. Structure present and held lightly, we allow synchronicity, movement, depth, and a returning to conversations that matter. Tapping into what feels real. World of tech, ethics and consciousness are woven as they surface, as each participant is invited to bring the whole of themselves to the table.

Will I need to participate the whole time? It's up to you how you participate. No one is keeping score though we might get curious if we don't see you! Families might have different activities than the ParTecK main activities, though may choose to join into those too.

What is the food situation? The money we receive from you goes back into the food. In the month leading up to the retreat, we create a food plan in a way that invites participation. We then purchase ingredients, and then take turns, by tent or car camping group, prepping and cooking for the whole.

Can I book a whole tent just for me? As much as that sounds amazing, we have a limited number of tents (7). Typically 2-3 people is a comfortable fit for each tent. We'll match you with others, in a process you can participate in, if you are traveling solo. You may also bring your own tent.

Can I come for some of the time? This is a three-night event by design, and we’d still love to see you if you can only join for some of the retreat.
